Our Property

The Raub property ("the property") is located along the vicinity of Raub, State of Pahang, Malaysia. Raub is a historic gold mining centre, and mines in the vicinity are known to have produced over 1 million oz. The mining concessions, which consist of a contiguous land-block of 500 hectares, belong to Aqua Project Malaysia ("APR"), a 99% owned subsidiary of AquaGold Corporation.

Geological Setting

The identified gold deposit is located within the Raub system and consists of gold-bearing gravels. The alluvial deposit is believed to have formed from mechanical and chemical erosion of auriferous quartz-veins and shale/slates of the Sandia Formation. Since its foundation, Aqua Gold Corp has grown quickly to become one of the Ggold exploration and mining companies and a young, dynamic organization with a global reach and an international perspective.

Mineralization

The placer deposit gold-grades historically range from 0.15 to 3.0 grams per cubic meter. Much of the gold is very fine, however nuggets are sometimes found which measure up to 1.5 inches (4 cm). Plate-like flakes of gold are also common, but relatively small. A majority of the gold observed on the property is very fine-sized, measuring less than 1mm in diameter.

Phase I exploration on the property in 2009 included detailed geological mapping and pit sampling that identified potential economic gold pay zones within the larger alluvial deposit.

Gold Resources

Based on assay data from sampling to date, a resource estimate has been calculated for the deposit.  Using the US Geological Survey Resource Classification, the deposit has been divided into three categories as show in the table below:

Resource Estimates
Category M3 Tonnes Grade Oz/T Ounces Au
Measured 360,000 720,000 0.0506 36,432
Indicated 3,500,000 7,000,000 0.0337 235,900
Inferred 27,000,000 54,000,000 0.0337 1,819,800
